It's not that unusual for the crown to unscrew from the stem...it does happen. Or sometimes the stem pulls all the way out caused by the locking screw/detent becoming loose.

It should not be more than a 50 dollar fix if you take it to a qualified watchmaker.

However, almost any Service Center (regardless of the make) will frequently require a complete service for a watch that needs any work if it more than a a few years old.

It's a money maker, but it is also good for you, since you might not otherwise undertake this necessary preventive maintenance step.__________________

Omega 45.5mm PO vs 41.5 AT 8500-4674 -

I think the PO is a much better looking watch than the AT 8500 hence its so popular and the new AT is not. I went by Tourneau planning on buying the new AT 8500 and was not impressed by them in person. I personally think the teck dials are not nice looking in person and much prefer the simple dial of the PO so I went with the 42mm PO black on black. I have an 8 inch wrist and tried on the 45mm PO and thought it was too huge and the proportions were all whack. I suggest you look for the 42mm PO as its the perfect size for any wrist size. It looks right, the proportions look perfect and I think it will age a lot better than the 45mm. I too bought it now before all the price increases and cutting out AD's and I truly think this is the right time to buy a co-axial as they will become unaffordable soon. Anyways, good luck with your choice.

Tag Heuer Monaco, while a good looking watch, has the following Cons:
(1) 30 minute chronograph = useless
(2) Run-of-the-mill movement.
(3) Workmanship, 1 grade lower than Omega/Rolex.

If rounding out your collection is the goal, I would sell both PO and GMT, get an Omega AT 8500 or HourVision, or a higher grade watche from other brands.

But I think the 42mm PO looks too small on me - maybe it has something to do with its thickness, but I can wear a 41mm SMP 2254.50/2255.50 (2 of my favorite watches) just fine, but the 42mm PO just seems a bit small (or, maybe, it's because I'm used to seeing the 45.5mm PO's design on my wrist).

Omega PO Crown Problems-2167 -

I went to set the date on my Planet Ocean and I noticed the crown was slipping. Sometimes it would catch and change the number but more often than not it would just rotate without changing the date. Any suggestions what it might be?

I'm hoping someone can recommend a good place that I can take it/ship to and how much something like this could cost.

My warranty card does not have a date on it but it has 2011 printed on it so I'm not sure if I can use the warranty or not. I bought the watch several years ego. I've contacted the AD that sold it (someone who was recommended here) to see what are my options.

Other than this issue, I've never had any other problems and I love this watch. I'm already dreading the turnaround time if I have to send it in to Omega :(

if you have another auto that works fine, there was likely something wrong with it. one of my previous AT's had issues with the auto winding system as well. would find it stopped on my winder. hand winding system worked fine with almost 50 hours pr. to bad i didn't buy/want a manual watch watch =).. it was fixed under warranty and ran great afterward.

hopefully they'll get it back to you soon and repaired properly. don't be surprised if it takes a while longer. 10 weeks is not unheard of. my guess is 2-3 more weeks.
